- Longboard -
The Foxtrot is a progressive ballroom dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. That description also represents how this board moves through the water and the freedom you feel dancing from nose to tail. It's a bonus that the board is the brainchild of our laminator, Riley Fox.
While all longboards float, the Foxtrot is more focused on planing — a subtle difference, but one that creates a deeper connection with the wave, more engagement of the rail, and better hold all around. The result is a board that noserides with the best of ‘em, turns tighter than you’d expect, and links maneuvers together through sections that would otherwise scare you into straightening out towards the beach.
The goal of the Foxtrot was to bring world-class longboard maneuvers to East Coast beach breaks. A thin foil all around, tight 50/50 rails into a soft edge in the tail, slightly narrowed outline with pronounced rear-of-center hips that carry plenty of surface area and curve into a narrow squash tail, combo’d with our perfected Roselyn rocker profile, heavy nose concave, and some extra-rolled belly from the center back. Excellent hold, tight arcs, rapid rail-to-rail transitions, and long noserides — ALL ON A SINGLE WAVE. This isn’t exactly a beginner’s board, but it will renew your love of logging to guarantee you spend more than enough time in the water, fine-tuning your skills.
